About me

I am a chef with 10 years experience in international cuisine.
I have been working and cooking in Dublin (Ireland), Milano (Italy), Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Lausanne (Switzerland) and since 2008 in Cambridge (UK).

My culinary journey started in 2000 in Dublin, in a pub kitchen, where a friendly chef from New Zealand taught me how to make sandwiches. I have soon learned the basics of cooking and I got a chef job at a Golf club in Dublin where I have been working over an year. I loved the place, the team and the food, we were doing a great job.

In 2003 I returned to Romania where I took my first course in Food preparation and cooking. I worked at a 4 star hotel City Plaza, where I learned more about stylish modern cuisine.

In 2004 we travelled to Italy and then to Switzerland. I had a lots of fun cooking in both countries. When I returned to Cluj-Napoca, I worked for about one year as a head-chef in Hanul Dacilor, a large, Romanian traditional restaurant in my home city. I enjoyed it, as I could cook fresh, tasty traditional romanian dishes.

In 2008 I moved to UK where I did an NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking. Since then I am living and working in Cambridge, together with my wife and my brother-in-law.

I love good food, I am passionate about cooking and I am currently building my own catering company.
